Yellow Magic Announces Local Search Association Sustainability Report Mobile App Ready for Apple & Android

The app uses Yellow Magic's YelloTouchTechnology that enables users to view a digital version of printed materials such as the print directories. The pages can either be viewed online or downloaded to the mobile device and thereafter no Internet connection or data usage is required to view the publication. And moreover, pages can be updated at any time to continue selling into the directory and to keep it current.

To use the apps:
First, if you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, search for LSA Report on the Apple App Store and install the app. If you have an Android phone or tablet, search for LSA Report on the Android Market (Google Play) and install the app.

When you first run the app you will be given a quick-reference help screen and you can always go to Help to see detailed instructions, but here is a quick summary of what you can do.

You will have the choice to use the app online or to just download all of the content to your device.

On Apple devices, single-touch a page to access the controls including the Table of Contents, Thumbnails, Search, Bookmarks and Help.  On Android devices, use the menu button.

Touch a Thumbnail to go to that page.

On Apple devices, double-touch (double-tap or use two fingers) to zoom. When in the Zoom mode, all URLs, e-mail addresses and phone numbers are hot.   It is only in Zoom mode that you can access the hot links on Apple devices.

Use a two-finger "pinch" to zoom in and out.
If you are on a phone (not a tablet) touch a telephone number to dial.

Yellow Magic Announces Kindle Fire Winner at 2012 Annual Convention & Partners Trade Show, LeAnn Robinson, Manager, KPG Media Group, KPC Phone Books

Yellow Magic held a special drawing at the Association of Directory Publishers ADP Convention for a Amazon Kindle Fire a few weeks ago, as part of its debut of new eReader directory publishing technology YelloReader and ADP member, LeAnn Robinson, Manager at KPCMedia Group from Indiana won!

“I was so happy to attend the ADP this year, I really needed a boost and I had a lot of questions I needed answered,” said Ms. Robinson.  “Every speaker was interesting to me, but at one point I was able to go back into the trade show area and meet with Yellow Magic’s Director of Program Development, Sam Pretorius and Business Development Manager for DevHub/EvoMedia Group, Matt Wilson, and had them explain to me the techy-side of how their digital publishing programs actually work,” commented Robinson. “They were great and much more helpful than just hearing sales or marketing perspectives, and even though I sat down with Yellow Magic several different days to learn, I did not enter to win the Kindle Fire until Paul Duffy, Sales Manager of Yellow Magic encouraged me to enter on the last day,” she continued.

“I do not consider myself lucky so I did not really think about winning, but I won!  Not only that, but the ADP Convention had a series of prizes to give away in another drawing based upon a card you fill out and get stamped for meeting with someone at the trade show booths.” Robinson continues, “Although I filled it out, I forgot to put my name on it!  I went to the ADP Convention coordinator later after I realized I forgot to add my name and asked if they had found a card without a name on it.”  They did find it, and added my name on the card.  A little later I heard my name called out not only as the winner of Yellow Magic’s Kindle Fire drawing, but also, I had won $100 from the ADP,” exclaimed Ms. Robinson.

“That day was very lucky for me. I had always wanted a tablet, or Kindle or iPad, but I was not sure which one to choose,” she said.  “The Kindle Fire is great and I have already downloaded a book based upon a suggestion to me from a member of the ADP, regarding Boundaries at work and life, and achieving success – I also downloaded a game,” she added.

LeAnn summed up her great experience at the ADP Strategic Session Meetings with Yellow Magic’s team the and Convention and Trade show at ADP with this final comment:  “I was really glad I went to the ADP Convention because I got the boost I needed - a boost of energy!”

"We look forward to our second drawing for the Kindle Fire at the Local Search Association Conference in Boca Raton, Florida," added Ron Mintle, CEO, Yellow Magic Incorporated.

Yellow Magic Incorporated and DevHub/EVO Media Group Announce Partnership to Market Award-Winning Web Presence Solutions Platform for Directory Publishers and SME’s

New turn-key web presence platform allows Yellow Pages Publishers to offer SME customers centrally managed websites, Facebook pages, mobile sites and more.

Murrieta, CA  March 6, 2012 – Yellow Magic Incorporated global supplier of software solutions for the LocalSearch and Directory Publishing Industry, launches a new partnership with DevHub/EVOMedia Group award-winning builders of a website creation platform, to jointly introduce and integrate a complete turn-key web presence management system. The partnership enables Directory Publishers to rapidly deploy new social, local, and mobile products bringing instant value to their service offerings.

“Yellow Pages publishers have consistently been leaders contributing to local business’ success by connecting businesses with customers using printed telephone directories,” said Ron Mintle, CEO of Yellow Magic Incorporated.  “Directory Publishers also continue to provide local search   content on the Internet.  Over the last few years it has become inevitable that all local small to medium sized businesses need websites and a web presence in the social media arena in addition to print advertising.”  Matt Wilson, Director of White Label Opportunities for DevHub commented, “It is estimated that more than 60% of US businesses alone do not have a website, let alone a comprehensive centrally managed web presence.”  “One of the biggest stumbling blocks to delivering web and social media services to millions of smaller businesses has been the ability to manage and produce thousands of sites, while providing a consistent, ubiquitous web presence that is easily updated, adapted, improved and self-managed by both the publisher and business owner,”  said Mintle.

Yellow Magic chose to sync up their efforts and their Yellow Magic Business System with a solution from DevHub, backed by the EVO Media Group, based in Seattle, WA and Silicon Valley, CA.  “DevHub is proven at scale, built to manage a large client base and is friendly with our clients existing systems. It’s a very capable site creation platform and web presence solution that answers a Directory Publishers’ need to bring additional value to their existing service offerings by bundling in a suite of proven web products.”

“With DevHub, Publishers, and their SME customers, can easily manage brand, messaging and business details across the web on almost any screen, network or platform, from a custom mobile site to the business details on a Google Places page, and they can do it all from a single elegant interface. Sites can be up in about five minutes and can include several variables such as video, photos, logos, maps, social sharing and more,” replied Wilson.

“This makes it easy for our Yellow Magic publishers to not only offer print, Internet and mobile products and listings, but also a complete website for every one of their customers with an array of social and sharing features,” said Sam Pretorius, Director of Program Development for Yellow Magic Incorporated.  “Publishers can monitor results of their customers, and customers can monetize, manage and edit their sites for further success,” Pretorius stated.

DevHub and Yellow Magic promote the turn-key program to publishers allowing flexibility and control to fit the product into the Publishers’ advertising business model.
“No other company we reviewed offered this much ease of production with instant web presence, along with other critical local, mobile and social visibility features. We feel strongly that to compete in today’s marketplace, SME’s need both print and web presence to succeed,” added Mintle.
